{The breaking of Spring}

so, one of the great perks of working at an elementary, is all the little vacations the kidlets have...as do i :) today was the first day of their spring break, and they don't go back till tuesday. that my friends, is just the break i needed, and am looking forward to a fun easter weekend! :)

tonight we went to a fun little birthday party for our nephew payton. the little tyke turned the big 4. it was at the ever so lovely classic skating in layton. (apparently those were the days of preston's childhood, but i for one was not one of those classic skater-ers every weekend. he thought i was so crazy. i think i went maybe twice. but after the refresher tonight -- i don't think i missed much ;) although i do think it must have been quite exciting being at that age skating around with my girlfriends, waiting for a handsome little fella to come ask me to skate with him, and naturally...hold hands. ha ha. so funny.  

anyway...got a little side tracked there..

after the little shindig we went and saw "the last song" i was a little timid at first cause good old miley isn't my favorite. sorry, she just isn't. for starters she really needs to fix her little snaggle tooth goin on in the front. nontheless, we liked the movie! i always enjoy a good nicholas sparks flick. always classics. but this one was surprisingly touching, and i loved the little brother in it. he was so cute.

good start to my long weekend! :)

Went to the doctor today.

Got to hear the baby movin' all around in my belly for the first time.

birthday boy!

Yesterday was my sweet lover boys birthday! On Monday night he got home from work and i told him i wanted to go out and get something for dinner. So we headed out, little did he know i had our bags packed ready to go in the trunk and a fun over-niter planned in Park City. I told him we were going to eat at a place he'd never been to up the canyon. He was so confused, but totally believed it. Before he knew it, we were in PC! He was so surprised! Success! It was a perfect little birthday get-a-way. Full of good food, presents, shopping, swimming, and relaxing fun! I love when we get to spend so much time together with no worries, just fun! He is the best husband in the world and he deserves only the best. He works so hard for us and i am so lucky! He's so fun and sweet and i love him more and more every day!

My nephew Kaden is such a funny little boy. He LOVES his food :) Anytime he is hungry or if he sees you with food, without fail you will hear this sound coming from this little wide open mouth. He reminds me of a little bird, ready for feeding. he makes me laugh and i love him so.

As for an update! I am now 13 weeks, my last week of the first trimester! Only two more trimesters to go! It's going by so fast. It's still hard to believe. Everything is going great. Thanks to everyone for your sweet comments and support! :)

IT'S OURS!!

Surprise!

And surprise it definitely was for us! But we are SO excited for this little tiny to join our family!

I am now 11 weeks and everything is perfect :)

We had our first ultrasound yesterday and it was the most amazing thing we've ever experienced together. Hearing the heartbeat and how fast it was beating! and to actually be able to see that the little thing really is inside of me! It's so unreal! We can't wait! :)

I feel pretty lucky cause i haven't been sick hardly at all. I get nauseous every now and then (mainly mornings, naturally) and have to be careful about smells.. but the biggest differences are just how tired i get, how i have to pee CONSTANTLY, and of course the ta ta's are quite tender but starting to fill out my bra quite nicely ;) ha...yahoo for bigger ladies...Just kidding ;)

Other than that i'm doing great! I feel better now that it's all out in the open to the blogging world, so that i can talk about it and keep ya updated! 
yah for being a momma! :)

My Valentine

Our Valentine weekend was full of Love Love Love. This was our first Valentine's Day together so it was pretty special! 

I was surprised with these beauties, a willow tree statue, and a sketch Preston had a friend of ours draw. 

It all was very sweet.

i sure am a lucky girl and i love that presto of mine more than anything! 

 

  

We had our Valentine dinner at Maddox. Becoming a definite favorite of ours. So yum.

 

  

i surprised preston with some yummy lacoste cologne, and a cute lil teddy bear that is now named Charley (we're silly) 

  

  

  

When we got home from dinner i walked into our room and found this fun little surprise!

On our way to Maddox, we stopped at my parents to visit and right when we got there preston said he forgot his wallet and had to go back to our place and grab it...

it all makes sense now, since he was gone for quite a while :)

This weekend we also went down to Gateway and did a little shopping, dinner, and saw this ever so fitting movie.

It was full of actors and full of good valentine entertainment!
