Fall Update

It's been a couple months since i've posted on the blog! I really just have had no motivation or desire to blog lately. Sometimes i think i'm over blogging and other times i don't want to get too behind or i'll never start up again. So alas i'm back. It's been such a beautiful and eventful Fall season. I hated seeing Summer go but I just LOVE this time of year! It's such a gorgeous time of year and really eventful for our family. A little quick update....

September we celebrated my 25th! Can't believe i'm that old. Really, i can't. Preston spoiled me rotten.

Dinner at the Melting Pot

On the 24th of September we celebrated our 2 Year Anniversary! We did our annual over night stay at the Grand America and just relaxed together! Prest totally surprised me with a diamond wedding band to go with my ring. I never wanted another band when we got married.. funny how you change your mind! :) I just love him with all my heart!

October we went to Sunny warm Florida to vaca with my sis and her fam! We have missed them so much since they moved and it was so great to spend a couple weeks with them! I miss those little ones too much! Boston loves his cousins so much! And i'm so excited for another little man on the way, making his debut in March :)

We hit up Disneyworld, Sea World, the ocean, shopping and just soaked up the warmth!

Halloween we still had some Disney spirit in us and we dressed up as Minnie, Mickey and little Tigger!

He is such a little ham! I can't believe he's almost 15 months old! He is growing up so fast and is hilarious. We laugh constantly! I'll have to do another post of updates on him!

Boston got his 1 year pictures done a few weeks ago and WE LOVE how they turned out! He is such a handsome little stud! Thanks to Camille Garrison photography {camillegarrison.blogspot.com} for doing such an awesome job and capturing such perfect shots of our little man!

It's really hard to believe he is already a year old! What a wonderfully happy year it has been. We are so lucky to be his Mom and Dad and have him apart of our family. We love you little Bosty Roo!

Flaming Gorge 2011

Last week all the family went camping at Flaming Gorge. This was our first year going and needless to say we are sold! It was so beautiful and so much fun!! We will be making it a yearly Summer tradition now. We LOVE Summer and it's ending too soon!

The holiday weekend was full of good summer FUN! We went boating, Went to Stadium of Fire with my family, Cherry Days parade, fair, BBQ and fireworks. Classic 4th of July! I love this holiday and it's just another reason why we LOVE Summer! :)

Boston has been loving being outside and enjoying the warmth.

David Archuleta is such a cutie and we've always LOVED Brad Paisley! Love his music and very entertaining! The whole event was awesome! The best firework show i've ever seen in UT!! We were lucky to be able to go and have such amazing seats!

This past week we said goodbye to my sister and her family. I was glad we got to spend a lot of time together before they left. We played lots, had sleepovers, went out to eat with all of the family, went to a movie just my sis and I, got as many hugs and kisses as possible and tried our best to get them all packed up!

Saying goodbye to them was one of the hardest things ever. I still find myself shedding a tear or two (ok maybe quite a few tears) when i think about them or see a picture of those little babies. I'm super emotional! Especially when it comes to the ones i love. What can i say :) I know we will get more and more used to it as time goes on. Good thing we can Skype lots and visit each other often, hopefully! We really will miss them so much!!

{9 Months}

Our little Roo turned 9 months yesterday! I wish he would just stay cute and little but he is growing and changing so much. He is still really low on the charts for height and weight for his age. He is 17.14 pounds and is 26.5 inches long. He is growing though and a healthy little boy so we aren't worried. He started the little army crawl about 2 months ago and is getting really good at getting up on those knees, rocking back and forth :) and going on his way. When he sees something he wants, he is determined to get it! He has strong little legs and can pull himself up on everything and stand for a long time. It's so cute to watch. I really have to keep a close eye on him to make sure the little bugger stays out of trouble or doesn't hurt himself! I wouldn't rather be doing anything else, though. He is such a little sweetheart and makes me smile when nothing or no one else can :) "He is the life of the party" ;) He is a little chatterbox, always talking and playfully screaming at everyone and everything. He loves people and especially little kids. He'll try and jump right out of my arms so he can go get them and play with them. We can't believe he's been here for 9 months! You are our greatest blessing little B and we love you more than words could ever say!

New Job!

My handsome husband got a new job!!

We are so happy for this new change! He's been working at America First as a loan officer for the past 3 years and was really ready for a change! (so was i) ;) I'm so proud of him for working so hard to provide for our family. I am so lucky to be able to stay home and take care of little B. This new job has made our family that much more secure! And will allow us to continue to save more and more for a house! :) He will now be working as a sells consultant at Marketstar in Ogden. Which means he will be able to walk to work now since it's like a block from our place! He will have a convenient, flexible schedule (which is nice since he is still going to school) Salary pay, and that pay is double what he was making before, if not more than double when you include bonuses and raises he will earn. We feel blessed to have this new opportunity and it's been a long time coming! He really deserves it! Love you Prest.

What a happy weekend it was! Boston and Preston spoiled me rotten! I am so lucky to have these sweet boys! I love them so much and am honored to be a wife and mommy to them!

Saturday they surprised me with these gorgeous long stem roses! Then Mother's Day morning i got another surprise with Sapphire earings! They are so beautiful! Sapphire is my birth stone so they are that much more special!

Vegas Vacation

A few weeks ago we went on a family vaca to Vegas! It's been a while since my whole fam (mom,dad,siblings and grandkids) have all gone on a big vacation together. Out of state, that is. Some might not think Vegas is big, but for my family, trying to get about all 30 of us somewhere far, takes some work :) My parents love to travel and have lots of time share points, so they used some points and got us all rooms at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club on the Strip. (where we always stay in Vegas) We love it! The trip consisted of swimming, eating, Circus Circus, shopping!, Hoover Dam, some more shopping and eating, the Dolphin and Lion Habitat at the Mirage, New York, New York roller coaster, all the Strip action and more! We had so much fun being with everyone, well close to everyone ..my bro and bro-in-law and one of my nieces couldn't make it! we missed them but, It was a party and i love my family.

New Ride

For a while now we've debated about selling Preston's car and getting a larger mid-size SUV. With the baby and all of the extra room we need, especially for vacations, we did it.

(who knew one little boy could need so many things!)

Anyway we sold P's car and within a day we had this pretty 4-Runner!

(All thanks to my cousin and his hook-ups!)

We love it! I've always wanted a 4-Runner and i'm happy to say i am very satisfied.

We already initiated it into the fam and took it to Vegas last week. It was so nice to drive in and have that extra room.

My sweet little Bosty Roo turned 7 months today!

It's hard to believe it! He is growing up so fast. I know i say it every month older he gets, but it's true. Time goes too fast! I know every mother knows the feeling.

My sister snapped a few of these pictures a couple weeks ago. He's such a handsome little thing.

He is a ladies man. We can't go anywhere without getting stopped so people can see him and tell us how freakin' cute he is! Like we didn't know?? ;)

He is the sweetest, happiest most perfect little boy. seriously. We are so blessed.

Sad News

This is my sister Heather and my brother-in-law Jeff with their kids Kaylee and Kaden. I love this family so much. I have always been close to them. I love her kids like my own. This past weekend they got news that Jeff got a new position in his company. That position is moving them to St. Louis. Here came the water works. Jeff leaves in April and the rest of the family will move out in June when Kaylee gets out of school. I will miss them so much. The worst part is they don't know if they'll ever come back to Utah, just depends on where Jeff's job takes them. I know it's common in a lot of families to have siblings live in other states. But not mine. We've all been lucky enough to all still be here in Utah. HOME. So it will be a big adjustment and hard to get used to. I don't know how anyone gets used to not having their family close by. Our kids were supposed to grow up together and play together. Now they'll maybe see each other a couple times a year. I'm happy for them and Jeff's success, but i am going to miss those babies so much. And my sister and brother. Now Prest and I are just going to have to have a savings dedicated to plane tickets -just to go out and visit them. Wish me luck that i will get used to this. So far, it's not working :(

March 9th was Preston's birthday!

He had three different celebrations throughout the week with family. He got this new bike from his family. He's already ridden it a lot and is excited to really test it out in the triathlons this summer.

The day of his b-day Boston had his 6 mo. check-up, so we went to that and then went out to lunch, opened some presents and went to Gateway and did some shopping and went to dinner at Happy Sumo.

{St. George}

This past Sunday we headed down to St. George for a few days with my Mom for the Parade of Homes. We usually go down every year to see the homes, and of course it's also a really good excuse to get away and enjoy some sun! We all love it so much down south and never want to come back! One day, i'm sure we will have a getaway home down there.

We're determined :)

This past Valentines was celebrated over a few days. Bosty has been sick with a horrible cold, so things that we wanted to do, we did when we could, so we could be home with him. I think we haven't been as sleep deprived since he was a newborn...it was a long week but we are happy he is getting better! :)

One night i surprised Prest with a candlelight dinner when he got home from work. My Mom took Boston, so we had a nice, quiet dinner together. I cooked fettuccine chicken alfredo, brochette, shrimp cocktail, salad, and a heart shaped brownie! It was just simple, romantic and yummy.

Alex + Jordan

Yesterday one of my best friends, Alex tied the knot! I am so happy for her and Jordan. They were high school sweethearts and it's so sweet that they have ended up together!

They had a dinner the night before at Maddox which was just delicious, of course. Then the ceremony and reception were beautiful!

It's crazy to think back on how far our little friendship has grown. Us three (Amber, Alex and I) all met from other boys we were dating, all of us broke up with the boys and the girls all stayed great friends! (We determined that the reason for those relationships were so us three girls could meet) We have had the funniest and craziest times together!

Last week Preston and I had ourselves a little overnighter in Salt Lake. This was our first night away from Boston and it was so weird to not have him with us, especially at night. Gramma Lee watched him for us and from what i hear had lots of fun! It was a good little break for Prest and I and we had lots of fun, too! :)

We went to dinner at Biaggi's at the Gateway (one of our faves) Swam and hot tubed, SLEPT IN ;) and did a little shopping, lunch and delicious cupcakes up in Foothill.

It was so great to spend time with my lover but when the time came, i was ready to get back to my little one!

HAPPIEST HOLIDAYS

This past holiday season was the best yet! We enjoyed every minute of it. Holidays are the BEST with a little one. Preston and I (and I'm pretty sure i can say all our family and friends) are so in love with him.

Christmas Eve we spent with each of our families. With my side we ate dinner and read the Nativity story and acted it out. This has been an annual tradition since my siblings and I were young. Now it is carrying on with the grand kids. Of course little Bosty was baby Jesus.

Christmas Day was pretty busy! We have a big family so there are always lots of family to visit. We woke up and had our family time together Christmas morning, then headed up to Preston's Mom's in the valley. We ate breakfast and opened up presents with his Mom, Bob, Mason and Stacey. Then we came down and visited his Dad and Shirl and G-ma and his Dad's family. Then last we headed to my parents with all of my family for dinner, presents and fun!

It was a beautiful day!

It has been such a wonderful and eventful year! This exact time last year we were in Vegas celebrating the New year ... finding out i was preggo!! Wow, i can't believe how fast this year went by. It has honestly been the best year. I am so lucky to have an amazing husband and baby boy. I am looking forward to the New Year and the happiness it brings!

Unck Update!

On Oct. 26 Boston turned 2 months old! He is just growing and growing! Which we are very happy about since he was such a little one. Don't get me wrong, he is still little! But he is progressing so well! He now weighs 10 lbs. and is 21 1/2 inches long! {5th percentile for both height and weight} He gained 9 ounces in just a week though, so i have no doubt he is going to catch up. He is cuter than ever and we love that little guy more than we ever thought possible.

We went in for his 2 month check up. Poor little boy had to get his first round of shots. Two in one leg, one in the other and had to swallow orally the last one. It was the saddest thing i've ever seen! I had never heard him cry like that. Mommy cried too. I couldn't help it! Glad the shots will help him to be healthy though. Mommy and Daddy even went and got their flu shots the same day so we don't catch anything to insure he doesn't catch it and help keep him healthy!

So sad.

Baby is such a sweet happy boy! He is so smiley and his coos and little noises are the sweetest thing ever. He is even starting to have a little laugh. It's so adorable!

Some recent fun facts about baby B:

*He is the biggest wiggle worm. Can't stop moving!

* His tummy and back are so ticklish. You can't even rub his back without him freaking out.

*He sleeps at least 6-7 hours a night. Mommy and Daddy are much happier these days :)

* He has a crush on the ceiling fan. Without fail he'll be smiling and talking away when he sees one.

*He loves his bath time. Makes the cutest faces.

*He snuggles his face in our neck when he's getting tired.
*He refuses to stay swaddled ..gotta have his hands by his face!

*At 2 plus months, he is still in NB diapers and NB clothes. little one.

* He has the loudest burps! Always scares me to burp him in church ... :)

* He has the cutest little snore...just like daddy {except daddy's isn't so cute and little} ;)

*He is THE CUTEST baby boy ever.

This year for Halloween he was just too small for all the costumes so he got to wear his cute little pumpkin outfit.

He sure is Mommy's little pumpkin!

Last Sunday {10.10.10}we blessed baby Boston. It was the best day. Preston gave him such a sweet blessing. So lucky to have a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder. He has such a strong testimony and carries the most amazing spirit. He is the best example to me and i really admire him and who he is. The spirit was so strong the whole meeting and we are just so grateful to have this little blessing in our family.

Thank you to family and friends who came and for helping out with the delicious lunch after :)

{Anniversary}

A few weeks ago, September 24 Prest and i celebrated our 1 year anniversary!

I'm finally getting around to posting about it. I suppose it was an important enough day to make sure i post about! :)

I'm sure not many people can say they celebrated their first anny with their first baby! ;) But we are so happy to have him in our lives. We love our sweet little family.

To start out the day, Prest made us a yummy breakfast and surprised me with beautiful roses.

Then we headed down to the Bountiful temple, had lunch together and wrote in our "love book"

(we have a book of all of our memories, pics, keepsakes, etc.. from everything we've done together, since we started dating that we each write in) and plan to have for the rest of our lives together!

our anniversary was definitely a perfect day to reflect on all our fun memories since we met. i love our story.

Then we headed to Foothill in SL (which we totally want to live there one day!) and went to "Sweet Tooth Fairy" bakery. The yummiest place ever. It's definitely a favorite and you should go there if you've never been!

Then we went to dinner at PF Changs. Always a classic. It was a perfect day with the ones we love.

I am so lucky!!

Birth Announcement

Last Wednesday the 15th, this momma turned 24! I know, i'm getting old! It was a very fun and happy day, all thanks to my sweet husband.

We celebrated with my family the Sunday before. Look at that work of art ;) Preston made me a delicious homemade Texas sheet cake.

We started out my actual birthday with going to a check up for Boston. He has been struggling to gain weight so we've had to keep a close eye on him along with the pediatrician. I am happy to inform he gained 9 ounces in one week and is now almost 7 pounds! He was only at 6 pounds for a couple weeks. Go little Bosty.

Then we had a fun picnic in the park for lunch

After the picnic Preston surprised me and drove me right to Massage Envy for an hour long blissful massage. I needed it and sure enjoyed it! :)

Then we took Bosty to Grandma Lee's and we headed to Salt Lake, where we went to dinner at the Garden's restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith building. Such a beautiful view!

Baby Boston

Well our little babe is almost 2 weeks old! Can't believe how fast time goes. He came a little sooner than expected..my actual due date is this Thursday, the 9th, so two weeks early. We're so happy he's here and can't get enough of him!

The Story:

Wednesday, August 25th i woke up and lost my mucus plug that morning. Hopefully you know what that is cause I'm not explaining it :) I was quite surprised, and it got me excited that things were starting to progress! I wasn't thinking anything was going to happen that quick so i went along with my previous plans for that day and went up to PC with my mom. We spent the whole day shopping and walking around and that may or may not have progressed things a little faster..even though i wasn't feeling like i was straining myself or anything, but did have occasional crampy like contractions. We got home that night around 9 and everything was normal. Prest and I went to bed and i hadn't fallen asleep yet and around 12:45 am. i felt something starting to rush out of me, so i jumped up out of bed so fast and just stood there and looked down...."uhhh....PRESTON!...my water just broke!" Mind that he is dead asleep and it takes him a minute to wake up or he's totally out of it. He just stared at me..."So, you're water broke?" I'm like "YES!.. LOOK!" pointing down. It was pretty intense if you can imagine it. So we jumped up and i went to the bathroom, attempting to put myself together which wasn't really working since i wouldn't stop gushing/leaking ...TMI? sorry :) So i spent about an hour over the toilet, and bathtub while screaming to Preston throughout the house what to pack and get ready. (Yeah, we were not prepared!) I was planning on getting that all ready the next day. Oops! Finally the rush slowed down, i was able to get some clothes on and we headed to the hospital around 1:45! By this time i was having some stronger contractions. We headed into the ER, they admitted me and started doing some tests on everything. Watching how close my contractions were etc...and i loved how they had to test to see if my water had really ruptured with this little piece of paper and if it turned blue from the stuff coming out of me then it had ruptured. I was like uh...something has been leaking out of me for the past hour....i'm pretty dang sure it broke!! But of course they had to make sure. Preston asked the nurse, "what else would it have been?" and she responded with, "maybe pee." I laughed and was like do you think i don't know the difference between pee and some other weird crap coming out of me for a straight hour?! it was interesting. Not to mention this same nurse helped me get my robe on and told me i looked cute naked and pregnant. Um...Thank you?? awkward! Finally around 3 am. we headed up to the room, that little did i know was going to spend the next 16 hours in! Around 3:30 am. i got my epidural since they were going to start loading in the patosin to speed up my contractions. I didn't want to even bother dealing with stronger, more painful contractions so we went for it! The anesthesiologist had to do it twice since the first time he hit a vein. Awesome, thank you so much for that. My sweet husband hates needles and was staring out the window during this special time, so i had no clue what was going on! In the end it really wasn't bad at all! Comparable to getting an IV in. So, i got my epidural in, the patosin was flowing, got my catheter in, and all that was left to do was wait! All i could do was lay there...for hours. Family stared showing up that following morning, anxious and ready. By this time i was already starving ha ha. Dang ice chips! Although they did let me have popsicles and suckers, yahoo! :) The day went on and on, progressing about like normal. They say your first pregnancy always takes longer, so i was ok with it. They told me around noon would be their guess of when i would have the baby, so when noon came and went i was getting a little anxious/frustrated. That afternoon was the longest, most stressful time. I was finally dilated to an 8 around 3 pm, but wasn't progressing much past that. The doc came in and the C section talk started coming up. My heart sank. I knew however it turned out, it would be ok, but i just didn't want one!! The doc left again and said he would be back at 5 and if i hadn't progressed we would start the C section. So we prayed and prayed and Prest gave me a sweet blessing and all hoped for the best! The doctor came back a little after 5 and we were all thinking the C section was going to happen. He checked me out and the look of shock hit his face..."Wow, you're fully dilated, let's start pushing!" Such relief hit us all! They got me all ready, and told me it would probably be an hour to two hours of pushing. Much to their surprise, within only a half hour of pushing, out came little Boston! He wanted out, and i wanted him out! We were a good team :) So glad i had Preston and my family in the room to coach me through it all! It was the happiest, most emotional moment of my life! I cried and cried.. so happy my baby was finally here, healthy and perfect as can be!

Having him home with us has been so special! Our lives totally revolve around him. It's been so nice to have Prest home from work for a couple weeks. He is the best daddy! Boston is so sweet and such a good baby!! He loves to sleep. He is such a little guy so we have to feed him quite often until he gets a little bigger. Mommy and Daddy are quite sleep deprived but wouldn't change it for the world! We love him so much and just still can't believe he's here and he's ours!!

33 weeks

Today i am 33 weeks. I'm sort of freaking out how close it is getting!

I love this side profile picture of him and his little lip poking out. Ah, i can't wait to see him! Yesterday was our last ultrasound, cause he's getting too big and starting to take up too much room to get a good view of everything!

So if everything goes as planned, the next time i see this little guy will be when he's in my arms :D

A couple weeks ago we celebrated Grandpa West's 90th birthday. He is in such great health and doing so well for 90! We had a big celebration for him with the family and all his little old friends.

One year ago today i said "yes" to this handsome boy. The best best best decision i've ever made. Life really began this day. Time has flown! I remember this time last year, going all crazy with wedding plans, now this year i'm going crazy with baby plans! :) Who woulda thought?! ha (certainly not me!)

He did such a beautiful and sweet job planning out the engagement

To celebrate this year we went to Olive Garden ..in honor of our first date and the dinner he had set up the night of our engagement

Well i just love these girls. We had a fun little shower tonight for baby Boston. It's been quite a while since i've seen a few of these lovely ladies and it was great to see them again and catch up! Still can't believe i'm the one having the baby out of all of us, but little Boston got some adorable things. Thanks girls. Love ya to pieces!

I've had a couple showers already thrown by the elementary school and Preston's fam, and still have a couple more coming up! All i can say is this little babe is spoiled rotten already.

Only 7 more weeks and we get to put all the cute stuff to good use! :) crazy!

Bear Lake

We got to spend a long weekend up in Bear Lake for the 4th. We love going up to our cabin and spending time playing at the beach and on the boat with the family. It's always been one of my favorite vacations in the summer.. Probably because i've grown up coming to Bear Lake.

30 weeks

the belly is growing and growing!

i'm officially 30 weeks now. 10 more to go! (that is if i go the full 40..)

crazy how fast time is going by...but the sooner i'm not prego, the better :) don't get me wrong, i want the little guy to come when he's good and ready, but being preg in the summer is probably one of my least favorite things thus far in my life ;) jk... i just really can't wait to not feel like my body temp is at least 120 degrees, when my feet and hands don't swell, when i don't feel like a blown up balloon, when i have a normal pee schedule, and the blessed day when i can wear my old clothes and be back to my normal size.

he's more than worth it, but i just can't wait till he's here!

Well we're home! and slowly getting back into the groove of things!

The first Sunday in Boston we got to go to church in Franklin. Prest served in the Franklin area and was one of his favorite areas.

We had a delicious steak dinner at the Labonte's. Preston helped reactivate the son and baptize his girlfriend. He went back last year for their sealing in the temple and it was such a crazy coincedence (blessing) that we would be in Boston the same weekend they were blessing their baby boy, Logan. It was so special for Preston to be apart of the blessing and see how far their little family has come.

Memorial Weekend

Memorial weekend was quite a full and busy weekend! i feel like we went from one thing to another. We love our long weekends!

One of Preston's high school buddies got married, so it was fun to be down at the temple and apart of the sealing and the days events.

Saturday Prest did a biathlon in Logan. It's become addicting, and we really enjoy cheering him on and supporting him! Proud of my cute little athlete.

We went to a Real Salt Lake game. Always a good time! Prest has never been a big soccer fan, but after much persuasion and going to an RSL game, i am proud to say he is now a big fan! (Whether he'll want our boy to play soccer over baseball...i'm not quite sure will happen)

So there's a good chance that baby will soon have as many shoes as i do... that's a scary thought! He's not even here yet! But honestly i do not know who or how anyone can resist these adorable little things. When seen, i must get :) Although, i must say a couple have been gifts....give myself a little credit ;)

All i can say, is our little man is gonna be a stud, sporting these sweet things!

Ah! i can't wait to see him in them! :)

School's out for the Summer!

Well today was the last day of school for the cute kidlets at Uintah Elementary. I'm sure it was the last day for a lot of elementary schools. It was a happy/bittersweet day. I've had a fun year working at Uintah. I will miss the little ones the most.

I will miss the cute little hugs i would get every day. The sweetest little girls that would tell me i looked "beautiful" that day. Getting flowers (dandylions) ;) picked from the grass and given to me like i was their best friend. Always hearing the latest jokes.. which were actually pretty creative for such little tykes. Being able to dry their tears, and make their owies all better. I will miss them telling me how funny i am. Their sweet smiles. Their innocence. Playing, singing, dancing, with them. Teaching them. Learning from them.
Little kids are the best. I will miss being surrounded by them everyday.

I wanted to just take some of them home with me today.

Can't wait till i have my own :) soon enough eh?

St. George Triathlon

This past weekend we spent in the beautiful st. george for preston's triathlon. This was the first tri prest has done and might i say, he did mighty well!

This boy did so well! He did the whole race in 1:33. Placed 4th in his division (age 20-24) 5 seconds away from 3rd and 15 seconds away from 1st! Overall out of all of the 600+ athletes in the sprint tri he placed 92nd! He has found himself a new love and i will be cheering him on, all along the way :)

This post is dedicated to my momma. She is my favorite. She has always been one of my BEST friends and always will be. I love her and am so lucky to have her. Our relationship is so special to me!

Mother's Day weekend was so happy and fun! Saturday we spent the day at the temple to do some temple work for my mom's family. I love being in the temple with Preston and my family.

My mom's birthday is May 12th, right next to Mother's Day (she was actually born on Mother's Day) so it's a great big celebration each year!

Prest and i got her a willow tree figurine of the "grandmother" since she's gonna be a new grandma soon :)

23 weeks

~Continuing on with the mom festivities!~

So i had a fun idea to throw my mom a surprise birthday party. So that is just what we did. We had the theme of 50's/60's cause those were her days as a young girl. We just decorated it like a "sock hop" and wore 50's/60's clothes!

After much planning..it turned out great!

My Dad told her he was going to take her out to dinner for her birthday but had to stop at my bro's first cause Dax had a little present for her. Little did she know that was all a lie and her whole family would be there to celebrate for her birthday!

Little miss Kaylee is growing up so fast! She is the cutest, sassiest, smartest little girl around. You'd never know she was only 5, since she has the sass of a teenager. Yet still so silly and full of energy!

{Our Little MAN}

YEP! that's right! We've got a little man on the way!! Today was our big ultrasound and it was the best to finally know that our little baby is a boy! I loved how they inspected everything and the baby is just perfect! That's the one thing i always worry about...just hoping that it's still healthy and growing strong! He looks like the cutest little guy. He was moving around constantly and seemed to like to hang out on his back, almost like he was on his head, with his little bum and feet hangin out above him. As you can see from these pics. He didn't hide his manhood one bit. Legs wide open ;) We are so excited!!!

it's taken me a bit to get used to the growing belly...and growing me.. so that might have slowed down the excitement to take pictures of myself. but this little guy is so worth it and we are so happy!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their easter and conference weekend!

This years easter was a little different for my family, cause every year we head down south for camping, 4-wheeling, hiking, and fun! This year plans changed and we stayed home, so we tried to make the most of it!

{The breaking of Spring}

so, one of the great perks of working at an elementary, is all the little vacations the kidlets have...as do i :) today was the first day of their spring break, and they don't go back till tuesday. that my friends, is just the break i needed, and am looking forward to a fun easter weekend! :)

tonight we went to a fun little birthday party for our nephew payton. the little tyke turned the big 4. it was at the ever so lovely classic skating in layton. (apparently those were the days of preston's childhood, but i for one was not one of those classic skater-ers every weekend. he thought i was so crazy. i think i went maybe twice. but after the refresher tonight -- i don't think i missed much ;) although i do think it must have been quite exciting being at that age skating around with my girlfriends, waiting for a handsome little fella to come ask me to skate with him, and naturally...hold hands. ha ha. so funny.

anyway...got a little side tracked there..
